 Proprietary Volume Forecasting Model

Product Evaluations has invested over ten years developing, testing and validating our scoring system as
well as a volume forecasting model specifically designed for new products/concepts in foodservice. Our
proprietary model, , is used in conjunction with our
Category Evaluations and
Concept Evaluations Power Tools. It calculates sales volume
based on key criteria impacting new product success including:
- Initial marketplace reaction/enthusiasm
- Concept acceptance/comparisons to successful products
- Frequency/quantity estimates
- Customer segments/size of operations
- Exposure rating (a proprietary formula based on launch specifics such as advertising dollars, regional
rollouts, distribution sources, sales structure, etc.)
